When a user's JABRA microphone doesn't seem to be working make sure to check for the following:


- Is the audio input set to the JABRA microphone?

- Open the Jabra software on the laptop and check for updates

- Check to see if all Jabra devices are connected on the Jabra software

    - If Jabra software is not on the laptop, you can download it from the ICT_Stuff shared        folder under Client_Deployment_Apps.


If the problem persists, and the laptop is a HP EliteBook 840 G9, follow the below to resolve the issue.


1. On your laptop, 'run' the laptop you are troubleshooting.

   - This is done by pressing Windows + R

    - Typing in \\???LT###\c$ (example, SEUPBLT122)

    - This will open that laptops C: Drive

    - This can only be done to a laptop that is currently turned on and connected

2. Copy the application file from: ICT Stuff > Software > Drivers > HP EliteBook 840 G9. This is on your laptop.

    - The file name is HP_EB840G9_Audio


3. Take the copied file and paste it into the problem laptop in it's Apps folder.


4. Open Device Manager on the problem laptop


5. Go to Sound, Video and Game Controllers > RealTek(R) Audio


6. Right-click on Realtek and open properties. After click on Change Settings. This will prompt you for your admin credentials. 


7. Open the Driver tab and click on Unistall Device.


8. After this, go to the problem laptop's Apps folder and run the HP_EB840G9_Audio file you had pasted in their earlier.


9. Go to Control Panel and find: Speech Recognition > Set up mcirophone


10. Tick the Headset Microphone option. Then click Next.


11. Test to see if the microphone works.
